Position overview ME- Purchase

  • Day plan updates from suppliers as per customer requirements on deliverables
  • Supplier visit w.r.t planning & technical discussion
  • FAIR understanding from suppliers work loads
  • Aerospace manufacturing industry experience preferred understanding of machining, turning & milling general machining and special process knowledge.
  • Supplier management experience
  • Experience in project management liaison between supplier and customer
  • Coordinates with engineering manufacturing and supply teams to develop and guide the program manufacturing and tooling plan
  • Ensure the identification and implementation of advanced manufacturing technologies and improves manufacturing processes in support of the design
  • Uses process engineering principles and techniques, develop, establishes and guides requirements for assembly, tooling simulations and manufacturing configurations.
  • Perform trade and cost studies and assists in leading integrated product and process teams.
  • In additions to the above, resolve production problems. Analyses sequence of operations that affects production performance and tooling concepts.
  • Assists in identification and implementation of advanced manufacturing plan and design changes affecting the plan.
  • Basic estimation of process cycle time and cost reduction
  • Arranging weekly project review meeting with suppliers on updates and delivery commitments dates

Education qualifications

  • Education BE / diploma mechanical engineering

Total work experience

  • Total experience 5 to 8years

General requirements

  • Good in communications written and oral
  • Handle work load w.r.t priority
  • Good in computer skills in MS office & CAD software
